Summer Retreat 18th – 20th August 2017 with Rachel Hattersley & Andrea Lazenby

If so, would you like to join us for this relaxing, nurturing, inspiring retreat for some me time and to discover you again.
The retreat will take place in the Haybergill Centre in the North Pennines Area of Natural Beauty and will include yoga, relaxation, walks in nature, outdoor yoga and meditation, discovery sessions, Access Consciousness tools and techniques and free time and space just for you.
Use of the Sauna, the terrace, the 3½ acre grounds, all meals, teas, coffees and cakes are also included.

Schedule in some time out to rejuvenate & energise the physical, emotional & mental body through a dedicated & varied yoga practice, complimented by purifying yogic breathing & peaceful meditation/relaxation sessions.
This is a time to relax, refresh & recharge your batteries & deepen your yoga practice in like minded, easy going company.
The Yoga: This is an opportunity for anyone wanting to experience not just one but two great teachers with a wealth of knowledge & experience. There will be something for all abilities & preferences. Expect the weekend to be filled with a fun & friendly approach towards postures whilst also adding a little challenge to each session. Expect static postures to find your alignment & Vinyasas to create flow & freedom. The weekend will feature a wide variety of postures to suit everyone’s needs & the weekend is geared towards all abilities from beginner to the more experienced yogi. The Teachers: Maxine Geary is a sports enthusiast & outdoor adventure yogi from Wigan who has been practising & teaching yoga for over 20 years. Maxine has a no messing, clear, precise & friendly, fun-filled approach to teaching with a keen emphasis on encouraging students to work strongly to their own level of ability, develop awareness & stay present & connected with the body & breath during class participation. Maxine is qualified in Karuna Yoga, an Iyengar inspired yoga that focuses on strength & stability & correct body alignment in addition flexibility & relaxation. Maxine is also a Holistic Lifestyle Management Coach & Movement Therapist.
Louise Hebblewhite is a Hull girl with a big personality bringing warmth & fun to her teaching, together with a great awareness & understanding of the posture. Louise will often use music to help get the best out of you, so be prepared to boogie & jive as you move through your asana practice. Louise is a qualified yoga teacher of over 10 years & has developed her own Sucram Yoga style. Louise is also trained in Kahuna Cultural Bodywork, Body Massage, Sports Massage & Therapeutic Massage & Reflexology.
Accommodation & Meals: All meals are of a wide & varied range of delicious vegetarian dishes & organic produce is used where possible. Accommodation is based on 2-3 shared basis - most rooms are en-suite.Sometimes there are a limited number of single rooms. Weekend of yoga and mindfulness Friday 20 – Sunday 22 Oct 2017 with Pip Bellis
On this weekend we will explore how mindfulness and yoga can sustain us and help us to live a richer, more meaningful life.
The weekend will include periods of silence, discussion and practices of yoga and meditation. We will start each day with some mindful movement, yoga and a short sitting practice. After breakfast on both days we will continue to explore mindfulness and how it might have an impact on our everyday lives. We will practice some mindfulness meditation as well as connecting with the body through movement. The afternoon will be a free period to explore the countryside or simply to rest and relax. There will be an optional sitting meditation before the evening meal and a restful evening practice and discussion.
The weekend is open to all – whether or not you have any previous experience of mindfulness. Here is what some of the previous participants said:
"It was good to have time to reflect. I gained confidence in being "in the moment". I have always found mindfulness difficult but this weekend I have become more familiar with it and it banished some myths....maybe I can practise it now! It was such a well-balanced course. Autumn Yoga Retreats with Joanna

Joanna was inspired and encouraged to follow the path of yoga teacher training after many years practicing and enjoying yoga classes. Her love of dynamic flowing sequences led her to pursue Astanga Yoga Teacher Training 200 hrs Yoga Alliance which she completed in 2004 with Brian Cooper and Nawajyoti at Union Yoga in Edinburgh and Shanti Griha in Scoraig, Scotland.
Joanna continues to deepen her yoga practice and draws inspiration from workshops and intensives with a wide range of well known yogis such as Sri Dharma Mittra, David Swenson, Matthew Sweeney, Paul Grilley, Kausthub Desikachar, Shiva Rea and Sarah Powers. She also continues to practice with her yoga teacher Granville Cousins.
Joanna holds classes in Vinyasa Flow Yoga, Yoga with Relaxation and Yin Yoga in the Bolton and Manchester area. Yoga one-to-one – always available.
About the Retreat.
We will have a Vinyasa Flow practice in the morning and Yin Yoga practice in the evening, with relaxing Yoga Nidra after dinner.
The beautiful yoga room overlooks the gardens where rabbits and red squirrels come to feed.
There is a separate chalet with sauna and massage room where treatments will be available throughout the weekend (not included in the price). There will be ample time to explore the surrounding countryside which is designated an area of outstanding natural beauty.
